Ted Hanson has served as Chief Executive Officer of ASGN since May 2019 and has been a member of ASGN’s Board of
Directors since June 2019. Mr. Hanson first joined ASGN in May 2012 as Chief Financial Officer of Apex Systems. In a
virtual merger of equals, Apex Systems became the largest division of the public company. In December 2016, he
became the President of ASGN before ultimately assuming the CEO role three years later. Since joining the company,
Mr. Hanson has been part of a team that has supported the growth of ASGN’s revenues from approximately $1.5 billion
in 2012 to $4 billion today. This growth in revenue, both organically and through strategic acquisitions, has also
contributed to an expansion in the company’s market capitalization as it has evolved to provide higher-end,
higher-value IT consulting solutions.
Mr. Hanson holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in accounting from Virginia Tech and a Master of Business
Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. He actively supports his alma mater and currently serves on
the board for the Pamplin Advisory Council, Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech and is a Co-Founder of the
Apex Center for Entrepreneurs, Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech. Effective July 1, 2025 he joined The
Board of Visitors of Virginia Tech, which is the University’s governing body, by appointment of the Governor of the
Commonwealth of Virginia. A large contributor to the local business community, Mr. Hanson was inducted into the
Greater Richmond Business Hall of Fame in May 2023 and featured in Virginia Business
magazine’s “Virginia 500” list
of the most powerful and influential business leaders in Virginia in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.
